Is This the Most Intricate Adult Coloring Book EVER? (Kerby Rosanes)

Kerby Rosanes creates some beautiful adult coloring books, and yet I’ve never colored one in until today!

I’m coloring Worlds Within Worlds – an ambitious coloring book full of intricate details and beautiful pictures. This is possibly the most detailed coloring book I’ve ever seen!

This page took 5.5 hours to complete. I’ve listed my supplies below, along with a link to the book. Enjoy!

I’ve colored another page from this book!

  1. What type of lighting are you using ? I am currently setting up my painting station and i am on the lookout 🙂

  2. I love this! Just ordered the paint pens and the blending marker… as for watercolor pencil tutorials, yes please! I’m just obsessed with them but don’t really know how to use them properly. Would LOVE to follow along! Thank you for such amazing videos. I’m enjoying your channel so much!

  3. Absolutely beautiful! And that book is so brilliant.

  4. omg I love Kerby's books I'm happy that you did this video cause personally I'm scared too color in them cause I'm scared that I will ruin them

  5. Reminds me of a colouring book I have called animorphia. It’s amazing and I highly highly recommend it

Edit: it was made by the same person, whoops. They’re so good though

  6. I ended up buying this same book because of thise video! Haven't gotten to color any of it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

  7. Oh my goodness! Thank you thank you thank you for highlighting this artist! I watched this video and I was incredibly inspired by your enthusiasm and I just purchased one of his colouring books from Amazon and I’m soooo excited for it to arrive!
I live in Aberdeen Scotland so I’m obviously a huge Johanna Basford fan and I have all her books (if anyone is confused Johanna lives here)
I can’t allow myself to actually colour in the books tho 🫣 I scan and print off a page when I want to colour them in! That way I can change my mind or reinterpret the image with a different colour palette!
You have such a delightful presence and that makes me so excited to get colouring 🥰🎨💜🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  8. I would've ground down the pencil shavings and with a tissue shaded in the darker background for even spread of colour.. just my 5 cent opinion
BUT…….. The final result looks stunning! One can never highlight enough with texta paint

  9. Hello Sara. I have to ask… Which alcohol pen do you recommend that does not leek as I am allergic to alcohol. I will use gloves but the safer the better . Thank-you, I do enjoy watching your videos. I came over from Jazza's channel. Have a lovely day!

  10. Hi Sarah, your videos are always interesting, me personally I use Posca, Winsor and Newton and Lyra, if you have them I suggest you do a battle between the three of yours and the three of mine but hey I don't think you will , in any case good day to you and to the next of your color videos!!

  11. Honestly I really love the unintentionally space-y vibe going on. It looks really mystical and magical

  12. Sarah can you give us a tutorial to do the background as this one, with all the different colors

  13. Are there any free color picking catalog things I could use? I noticed alot of people use these, but they are usually a paid for app.

  14. Your work is so perfect and inspiring. Thank you so much for that.

  15. I really enjoyed watching this video!!! I ‘dabble’ using the Derwent Inktense pencils so it was nice to see how others use them.
I would love to see more coloring using the Inktense, with or without the alcohol blending, but also would like to see watercolor pencil uses and techniques! I would also like to see more ideas using water brush with alcohol techniques and ideas!
I enjoy watching all of your videos.
    Thank you!

  16. I have a book from him called Animorphia, it is soooo pretty and fun to color

  17. thank you for sharing your talents and unbridled enthusiasm. I'm new to Kerby Rosanes coloring books as well. I'm finding them quite addictive. Watching you choose your colors is an 'art-form' in itself. I love that you get carried away with the embellishing with the paint pens. It's what draws us into the little details. Would love to see you do the 'crowns' I know you'd come up with some beautiful metals and golds, and then there's those 'gems"….. Your lighthearted approach, backed with talent and artistry 'know how" make you a joy to watch. Thank you.

  18. Can you use any watercolor pencils? Love you work you have given me some great ideas. I been coloring for over 20 years. And have learned so much from watching you. God bless Beth from Maine US

  19. I have several pictures Ive finished of his drawings- I LOVE THEM

  20. My problem with adult coloring books is that I constantly overthink…"would this color work here….or maybe this color…I don't think I can do this."

  21. My alcohol marker blenders bleed in my Kirby book any advice please help!

  22. I've recently picked up a few coloring books and I'm using highlighers to color. Its been fun but its been therapeutic more.

  23. I love all your art! It is way better than any of my work. The colour of the waves look great.

  24. Wow, this is amazing…..I looooove it. Thank you for this video and I will try the alcoholMarker for the blending the inktense pencils ( i tried it with prismacolor but that didn't turn out well, so i am very curious)….you rock, girl 👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰

  25. I love Kerby Rosanes!!!! His illustrations are amazing
I always buy 2 books, one to keep as is and another to color

  26. The man certainly has one of the best imaginations ever! I'm particularly fond of pen & ink and intricate images, so I really love his work.
HOWEVER–this one is printed on both sides, as is Fragile World. This makes it difficult to remove a single page for framing. Or in my case, taping it to the fridge door. And it is also harder to color, as I must move the whole book constantly. SIgh.
Check out Color It coloring books. Heavy covers, a blotter page included, excellent paper, printed on one side only AND…spiral binding at the TOP and wonderfully microperforated for easy removal! Woo HOO!
Keep up the great videos!! I love all the information and your hard work and dedication in trying and comparing products.

  27. I’d love to see a comparison of paint paknt pens your fish pic came out awesome babe

  28. way to much "getting ready" just pick some colors and color

  29. Those paint pens are so thin, I wonder how they’d do with nail art?

  30. What was the alchohol marker you used to blend the pencils? Loved the results!😮

  31. Wrong, Peter draws has the most intricate coloring book

  32. I am really upset that I have discovered your page because I went to Amazon and put everything in my cart and I’m just dying to checkout 😂 because your art is gorgeous 😍 So now you have a new follower and my bank account hates you since you’ve just expanded my poetry art journal mixed media thing that I’ve been working on. There’s Afterpay for a reason 😈…oh Amazon

  33. How long does these drawings take or how long do you use? Cuz I can draw between 3-6 hours but my hand arm and tennis elbow start to hurt? Wondering if you have the same issues or have some tips against “drawing pain” ☺️ thanks for the video it was amazing

  34. Watercolors and a thin paintbrush is my favorite way to color these books ^^ highly recommend if you have a lot of time and patience on your hands

  36. Hi Sarah! I can strongly recommend Zen Colouring Books by GMC. I have a big collection of them from the time they first released. And some of the newer editions.

Thought you might like to check them out! 😊

I don't colour them much as I use the patterns and details to inspire Winx Club transformation designs I do in my spare time.

  37. I saw that book recently, the only reason I didn't buy it was because I thought the art work was so beautiful it needn't need to be coloured. I would have just ended up keeping it as an art book 🥰

  38. That book is amazing!I really want one!!!😍🤩

  39. oh my gosh I love your coloring!! How have I just seen your channel
